Sailability

At Aldridge Sailing Club we believe that sailing is a sport that can be enjoyed by all people, no matter their background or ability.
We are an RYA Training Centre and also a recognised RYA Sailability Centre and we actively look at ways of improving our club so that we can cater to those less able members.
Our Commodore is also the Sailability Coordinator at the club and is a qualified SENDCO. We have a disabled changing room, shower and toilet.
While we are constantly working to improve our facilities and try to accommodate sailors with different types of disability, we are very keen to do what we can to help any new or existing members who may need help or support to get on the water. We are an inclusive sailing club and encourage all abilities to sail together with RYA qualified members supervision.

We welcome and encourage anyone who is thinking of trying sailing or any previous sailors with concerns about getting on the water, to contact us. We can then discuss your needs and what the club can do to help you in an open and honest way. Any discussion will of course be kept strictly confidential.
